He means 3rd ed. I'm helping.  Question about stats. Do we need to roll them in front of you or can we just roll them on our own? |

Sorry for the late reply on this. Roll your own stats. I assume honor system in these matters because jacking up your own stats for no reason makes the game not fun. And really, if everyone gets all 18's on their rolls, it'll be an excuse for me to mess with EL's, etc, etc. I can only conclude that a bunch of rational people such as yourselves won't behave in that manner. Chip, I am going to operate on the assumption that you are able to come back mid-January. I'd like to start at the end of this month if possible. If you want in on this game, try to get your character done when you have the resources in front of you. (And someone who plays WoW get Chip to read this post). Even if your characters aren't rolled out and such, try to get me your character background info ASAP. I want to put in the effort of integrating your stories into the world, but I will need some time to do this adequately. And I've added some more spoilers to the first post, hopefully to hype the game a little more. |

Just curious if anyone besides Dyuman knows what they want to play. I know Josh wants at least 1 wizard and 1 cleric on the team so if no one else wants to play one I'm willing to fill either slot. Otherwise I'll just build some random hybrid like I always do. Figured that we should at least work out who's playing the essentials before we all make our characters and figure out that no one made a cleric because those are some weak ass deity choices.

As an FYI, I'm waiting to hear from my mother on how she's feeling from this latest treatment. She's off radiation, so while she'll be nauseated and fatigued for about a week or so, if she's feeling more up to speed after two weeks, I'll be able to return soon thereafter. As for character ideas... I'm thinking I should probably go for something non-essential. Wouldn't do to Promise to play Cleric, then not be able to play. -_-; So... most likely a fighter hybrid of some sort for me.

Whats the rule for Epic Feats if we qualify for them? Can we go for them? Or is there a limit like have to be level 20+ to get them?

You do not qualify for them. You're not epic.
The Cleric bit is considered fulfilled by Dyuman's character. A wizard would be good still. Sorc won't count toward this one. God, I wish I would stop telling you guys to play bad classes.

Since the cleric bit is already filled by Dyuman, is it ok to make a cleric that doesn't have the listed 3 as his patron deity?

Are you going Obad-Hai?  Boccob? Those would be cool, even if Obad-Hai is an old fruit. Yes. Just don't go with an evil deity and put yourself into a Neutral alignment. If you roll a Chaotic Neutral Cleric of Erythnul, I will send you to a special place in Carceri where you engage in corprophagia with another Otyugh out of the same cup. |

More questions. I shouldn't have too many more since I'm running out of stuff to ask.
1. Since we are running a mostly 3.0 game, are we allowed to use stuff from the newer 3.5 books? ie Core classes, prestige classes, and feats. If we are allowed, what is the rule on feats/classes that exist in 3.0 but have an updated 3.5 version?
2. Just checking but are the eberon and forgotten realms books kosher?
3. If 3.5 feats are allowed, are you allowing the use of divine meta magic from complete divine? I ask because it is a very abusable and potentially unbalancing power for clerics.
