From the past 2 game sessions you guys have accumulated 4 xp. All upgrades and character improvements are subject to my approval. Think about it and lemme know what you guys want to spend it on. Or you can save it up for something better later.

General Rules and Other Tidbits- I am using hit location tables
- Recovery as per the table on pg 412 is based in increments of your CON score not 10
- I plan on using all of the optional combat maneuvers
- Technology is roughly at a Ghost in a Shell level
- Running a super heroic game. Thanks for your input.
More to come later.

In an attempt to bring some spice and variety to this upcoming game (and because I have already done so for myself), I am offering to paint miniatures for anyone who has a suitable mini to represent their character in-game. depending on the origin of your character, I can suggest several different brands to look at. Though... just as a forewarning to anyone who wants to take me up on this offer... EVERY time I have attempted to artistically express a character in a game that I was not running, they have wound up DEAD at some point in the game. Just fair warning to you. (in my own case, the mini was just too awesome looking to pass up on making it more awesome through painting). xD Anyways.... here we go! Morbello- Reaper, Warhammer Fantasy.Correct me if I'm wrong on this, Jon, but I imagine Morbello to be more sword and sorcery based, and thus have more fantasy-esque attire. Walchen - Warhammer 40k, Imperial Guard. To my knowledge, the closest thing to "modern day" looking troops and weapons lies in the Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard line. Of particular note, the sniper/spy type people will probably want to look at the Imperial Assassins Guild models, particularly the Vindicare if you're going the Sniper route. Chame - Warhammer 40k, Everything ElseWith exotic tech, Warhammer 40k is probably the most diverse. Lots of powered armor designs to choose from, and lots of otherworldly future tech. Tolnan - See Above.Whee... the hippies get stuff from both Morbello and Walchen, so whatever. I shouldn't need to repeat this. Dowain - ReaperI rarely see monk figures that I like, and never among the Warhammer minis. You're probably going to have to go with reaper minis if you want a martial arts looking character. The Vatican - ConfrontationI think this series is discontinued, but if you find Confrontation minis, particularly from the Griffon Empire, you'll find some particularly Templar-esque guys to choose from. There you have it. Most of these minis brands can be found at Legends or D&J Hobby, but their selections have severely dwindled as of late. (except in Warhammer). If you feel like an adventure, Games of Berkeley on the South side of the UC Berkeley Campus has a very nice selection of all the aforementioned brands, as well as some obscure brands that probably won't pique your interest for the purposes of this game. If you want to get a character painted up, send me a PM with your specs, get a mini for me to paint, and I'll see what I can do. Alternatively, if you really don't want to buy a paintable mini, you can take a look at the minis I currently have at my disposal, and I'll use one of my minis for your character instead. Sadly, nearly all of my Warhammer minis are in Annapolis... so I mostly only have reaper minis, and a few of the old school battletech minis to work with (and I doubt Jon's letting us make mechs). Try not to be too last minute to whatever Jon's start date is.

Yup, that list looks fairly accurate. You guys should have plenty of time to get and paint minis before the game starts if you want since most of you still need to make characters. I'm currently thinking of starting on or around 3/21. Please let me know if this will work for you guys or not.

Anyone interested in sitting down and discussing characters at some point in the not too distant future? I highly suggest jumping on this sooner rather than later, particularly if we want to get Craig involved in the game. If my HERO System game was any indication, it's just not going to take if I'm the only one jumping up and down on him to work on his character. Doesn't help that he doesn't have a PC, and thus doesn't have access to his own copy of the HERO Designer. -_-; Also... some party correlation would be nice, just to see where everyone's leaning. PS - My invitation to paint minis for people extends to you too, Jon.

Yes party correlation would be a good thing. I'm all for sitting down and helping you guys make characters so you guys end up with something that your happy with. Also it would be a big help to me if I knew what you guys were playing so I know what the best way to kill... err challenge you is. In all seriousness, I'm very curious what people are planning on doing for their character. Chip aside, I only have a vague idea of what you guys are thinking. I'm free pretty much anytime during the week to sit down and talk about either your characters, the game world, how they fit in, or anything else that you might find helpful.

Hey guys. I still haven't heard back from some of you yet concerning your character. I know some of you are busy but we're getting closer to when I'd like to start the game. I'm still planning on starting this coming Saturday (3/21) since no on objected to that time. Start on your concept if nothing else and try and get in contact with me if you need help. Once again I'm planning on starting this Saturday 3/21. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

The next game is TBD. Alvin is leaving on 4/15 and won't be back till 4/30? Do we want to postpone the game until he returns or do we want to forge on ahead without him? Please post your opinion on what you would prefer.
Also I reread part of the book and noticed that we were using some powers/abilities incorrectly. Please take the time to read how your powers work so you aren't surprised when I tell you that things don't work the way they did last time.
Teleportation (pg 233) - Noncombat movement with teleport takes an extra phase and automatically gimps your CV.
Teleporting Blind (pg 233) - Attempting to teleport to a location that you cannot perceive requires an attack roll with penalties.
Teleporting and Velocity (pg 234) - You retain full velocity when teleporting. Forgot to apply this with Craig's escape attempt earlier.
Clarification on the rules for rapid fire/sweep attacks. If you miss any attack in the sequence all subsequent attacks will automatically miss and will expend END and or charges (pg 396). Your subsequent attacks still occur, they just auto-miss so you still expend END/charges for the attempt.
Sweeping and maneuvers. By core rules you can only sweep with a single maneuver. This maneuver must be constant for each attack. This includes martial maneuvers (pg 397). So you could say sweep with Defensive Strike but each attack would have to use the same maneuver. If any of you are interested in sweeping with different maneuvers talk to me and I'll think about including it.
For anyone interested in concealing weapons on a regular basis please read the rules on pg 450. Depending on how your weapon is concealed you may or may not incur a penalty to fast draw it.
Changing Clips and Fast Draw (pg 59, 285) - It is normally a Full Phase action to change clips. Fast draw reduces this to a half phase action, not a zero phase action. A successful fast draw roll will allow you to change 2 clips as a full phase action, only one roll is required in this case.
