www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMIxXgL0eNUGuy from SRK takes apart the madcatz TE fight stick. Should watch if you have any interest in it. EDIT: Theres a bunch of useless info, and each part is ~8 mins. I just summarized what each part covered, more or less. Part 1/8 he shows how to take off the panels. Should watch. Part 2,3/8 is just technical jargon. Don't bother watching unless you want to know functionality, which circuit board controls what, etc. Part 4/8 he removes the joystick, and talks about how to replace the artwork on the top panel. Part 5/8 he removes buttons and tries to fit various buttons in. End result, use snap ins, not screw ins (one button doesn't fit with screw ins unless you grind down the plastic washer). Pretty useless overall. Part 6/8 he talks about putting a Seimitsu LS-32-01 (the one I use in my HRAP). It is possible. Part 7/8 he talks about putting HAP competition buttons in. Lol @ Madcatz. End result, you have to cut out a portion of plastic inside the casing to get the buttons to fit. He also covers HAP competition sticks. Again Lol @ Madcatz. End result, the "universal" mounting plate is not universal, holes don't line up and the bottom of the stick sticks out of the case - you can't fit a comp stick without serious modding. Part 8/8 is just a summary of everything. Note: All sanwa buttons, but imitation joystick (not a real sanwa JLF). Totally backwards from HRAPs.

Correction to what I mentioned last night - Bleach 206 is the one where homo'est of the homo filler ended and the new one started.

I think "interesting" isn't the right word, but I didn't know this at all until I randomly came across this news online: Barron Vangor Toth (the guy who made Raw Deal) died February 2008. Never heard because Raw Deal was defunct by the end of 2007 and I was already out. Since quite a few of us here played it, though, I figured I'd just share the word. He apparently got ill and things turned out for the worse real fast.

Dude, Myanmar is, as Amanda put it, "Oppression-R-Us". I am a little surprised you never heard about Myanmar given the news about a potential monk revolt there last year. College students are usually all over that shit, but I guess in De Anza, all the FOBs are like, "Yeah? Ok whatever, ching ching chong chong... <rice rockets off>."
I will point out that although it's not as bad as being in Myanmar or Pakistan, or whatever Mid East country, we are between Canada and Mexico.

I'd bitch and relate actually interesting stories... but I'm just too glad to be home right now. We can talk about relevant stories later. It's time to start playin' some SFIV. Woot. (Once I grab a copy....)

I really am very happy to be home. I don't think I've ever been so anxious to come home from a trip. I love traveling.
I may post a video in the coming weeks, but I'm gonna go ahead and sum it up right now... DON'T GO TO MYANMAR.
