It's been awhile since we last had one and I know that a few of us have been talking about doing one on and off for the past few weeks. So just throwing the idea out and wondering who would be interested if we were to have a LAN.
Things that we would need to decide would be which games to play and where to hold it. Our usual repertoire of games are Mech4, Starcraft and UT2k4. I'm open to other suggestions but ideally it should be a game that we can all obtain/run on our respective computers without too much trouble or cost.
I would like to try and get a Mech4 LAN going since we now have 6-8 people who either have the game or can run it, but I'm up for whatever people want to do.

Mech 4 especially. It's a game that can be enjoyed by all, and I'm really advocating that we get some Mech action going now that we have so many copies in our collective possession. There's almost no excuse for it. Chip needs to get Crystal Chronicles for DS as well. I won't throw his character into water when we play. I promise.

The odds of a service pack dealing with compatibility issues between an old game and a new OS? I've never heard of such a thing, and it isn't likely because they aren't gonna try to fix an obscure graphics compatibility problem, in a game with a relatively small audience, for their shiny new piece of Alfred feces. Furthermore... since the problem isn't widely known by any means they wouldn't even know it was a problem to begin with. And it would be a miracle if it got fixed as a result of some other change.
This problem was solved by uninstalling codecs and installing MW4, then reinstalling codecs after full patching to 3.02b.

I'm waiting for Sadako to make videos online so she can put a Red Ring of Death on Windows Vista computers and kill you in the face. Rick Roll has nothing on that.

Because nobody else has posted it up yet, here is the plan for this weekend. We are planning on having a Mech4 LAN at Chip/Craig's place on Sunday, time to be determined. People confirmed to attend are myself, Brian, Josh, and obviously Craig, and Chip. Anyone interested in coming should contact Chip or Craig for further details.
