Just wanted to check who's going for sure. I intend to go this Sunday, and am willing to do the driving. As far as tournies go, this one seems about as undaunting as it gets, so I would recommend you guys try this one out if you can. Granted, it's a bit pricey because there's a cover charge at the restaurant plus the tournament fee itself (which I think comes to around $35).
I will understand if anyone doesn't wanna go based on the price, and maybe even the drive (though it's not THAT far, and we'd all be hanging out anyhow). However, I hope no one feels the want to back out because they don't think they're good enough. I can say with absolute certainty that worse players than ourselves have attended bigger tournaments, and it was still worth their time. It's a good learning experience, it's a chance to beat some people down, and it's still a lot of fun. IMO, let's bring a camcorder and make a good showing.
I'll continue to post on the Guilty Gear thread about characters.. hope Brian can as well. The information there is all useful and very much applicable whether you're playing casuals or in a tourney.
