....
SuperDyu: byah, favor por favor. I cant be on AIM for long, but can you post on balltag that for you jon and craig to be roughly ready with level 3 characters. You guys are only barely behind it and if Josh joins us next time we play i'll bring him in at 3 instead of 2 SuperDyu signed off at 10:15:19 PM.
Dunno why he didn't post here himself, what with the time he had to AIM me, but there you have it...
I guess we need to be prepared to level? Make New characters? What does this mean?
Whatever. I did my part. You can figure it out, Jon.

I'm not fluent in yoga, but I think Dyuman is going to start Josh off as a level 3 character and either before we start or soon after the rest of us will be joining him as level 3s. So I guess he wants everyone with access to a book to start thinking about what abilities they want for level 3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the only thing we gain at level 3 is a new encounter power.
For Josh's reference, our party currently consists of a Warlord (Chip), a Ranger (Craig), and a Rogue (Jon). Honestly you can play whatever the hell you want. 4th ed really doesn't require any particular party make up and so far we seem to be doing okay. Some sort of a meat shield would be nice, but having a 4th target/damage dealer should be enough to destroy whatever the module/Dyuman throws at us.

God... DAMMIT. So... originally, my mother was going to fly out to Laguna with my sister to help her move all of her stuff out of storage and back into her apartment. I wasn't going to have to be involved. Then my mother somehow managed to crack one of her ribs. She doesn't know exactly how it happened, but regardless of the how or when it occurred, it will most definitely prevent her from traveling, much less lifting heavy stuff for my sister. So... I'm going to have to go down to L.A. to help her move her stuff. here's the kicker - She doesn't get back to LA until the 20th, so I have to help her on the 22nd, the EXACT weekend you guys un-fuck yourselves and become available for D&D again. Figures this would happen... I mean, I was the only one available all throughout this hiatus period. The fates couldn't just let me be the only one to not jack everything up on the road to playing more D&D. Just... ARGH. So... that said, I won't be available for D&D on the 23rd. So, since we're screwed either way, anyone want to come down to So-Cal with me to help my sister move? She doesn't have all that much to move, and only a few things are actually heavy, so it would go pretty quickly if I had maybe one or two of you with me (Though I would like to limit the number of mooks I bring with me, since I need car space for loot). I'm going to leave Friday (08/22) evening after work and shack up in a hotel down there. In theory, I'll be done with helping her move in the middle of the day, and then I'll be able to drive back up Saturday afternoon, and be back sometime reasonable in the evening. If you feel like a driving marathon of pain, then let me know. I'll take up to two of you mooks down with me.

uh..... I'd agree to help you move it i just didnt get back from there I couldnt post the level 3 stuff earlier cus I couldnt remember the 57 on proboards. But yes - level 3 on the next session we get to for the reasons that Josh can hop in at 3, and I didn't give Xp for completing the quest for Padriag (module doesnt, but I'll give it anyhow). If you get back saturday afternoon/evening we could possibly play on sunday if that works for people, or late saturday - regardless if we don't get to it, it is fine. I may do a small mini game with josh or something to fit him in the plot a bit (ala chips game). Also, I'm going to be working on the plot a LOT this week. Initially I just went with a vague idea of the world, but its caught my interest in how its fitting into the module so I'll spruce it up a bit. Certain things that only your characters will know I'll toss over in PM on here or on paper in person, and get stuff like kingdoms and stuff on Soulforge and the legendary heroes background stories.

K, so I got a good chunk of background of the general world done. I'm basically taking each of the characters (including your playable ones) and working in a history based on your personality styles so far, and the basic history we shelled out and intertwine them into the greater story so you know your place in it and based on how you've played, your stances on the issues going on.
I'm going to send out PM's for jon and chip in terms of what your characters would know based on their background (allen's time with saber, and elsington's military/royal background). Still gonna work on craigs while he's out of town and give his in person, and work out josh's once he gets back and makes a character.
Josh, as for the amount we're playing it's become fairly casual now (mostly working a lot on this now since I'm free to a ridiculous level), and more of a "we're all free this saturday, lets get together and play" game.
Anyrate check your PM's for info, if you get questions based on whats sent i'll expand on it.

Josh is now up to date. Did a quick 1 shotter with him last night so once we get back to it next saturday or friday depending on scheduling. Still gonna finish up a bit more background on craig and we should be all set.
I also went and bought a game mat to play on so if you got a miniature you like feel free to bring it. Still trying to find game tiles to help visualize the map better.

So I signed up for D&D insider. Stupid thing is for all the talk they basically only have 3 features out and they are somewhat decent from a DM standpoint. Nothing useful on the players side which I find retarded. www.dndinsider.com Use my login and pass if you don't feel like registering: Login: superdyu@yahoo.com pass: dyuman100 There is a searchable 4th edition compendium but the search criteria sorta is a pain, the encounter creator kinda helps but is also still a bit meh. The features could easily be good, but Wizard will fuck it up and get too greedy. (ie: They could have it so that books come with registration codes to unlock them on the compendium, and have ads/trailers for their new adventures go with free dungeon'd games - direct advertising for them, and still requires purchases). Free to try till they get everything together.

Back from wedding, still finishing up stuff at home before I'm 100% free once again. But anyrate:
D&D Saturday 20th, and per craig Lan as well (I assume Diablo) this weekend.
I'd like to start at 2pm (3pm at the latest) and get in a good solid run.
One thing I'll give you guys a heads up on is that you will get a chance to purchase gear so get some idea's on what you'll want to get roughly with the gold you have available.

Craigs not free the 4th of october, but I will still have a campaign set for you guys and a side thing for craig. Should give me some nice openings for plot development on the larger scale.
So he will prolly not be available, but we'll still be playing.
