Found an npc in Nightfall that will teleport you to the Crystal Desert (Prophecies) while doing a vanquish. If I remember correctly, missions in Prophecies don't need to be done in order, nor do you even have to do most of them (exit portals are not locked so you can walk through areas w/o doing missions)...so I guess that means any character that has run Nightfall can skip all of Kryta for Prophecies w/o running and stuff. So getting to south shiverpeaks/doing ascension is easier...not that it matters to us anymore.

Got my second anniversary presents a while ago. So any characters made roughly when we started playing the game should also. Each present has a free miniature (for Hall of Monument displaying), so anyone with EotN should log on sometime, open presents and display them in your HoM for free points.

Recap of the stuff you want to focus on for HoM points, assuming you want 30 (after 30 is just titles, and also considerably more difficult to get points after you hit the 35ish range).
Devotion - goal: 2-5 points To get points here, you dedicate miniatures. The majority of which are only obtainable through birthday gifts (the anniversary of your character's creation nets you a free birthday gift and subsequent mini). Otherwise they're mostly found as drops/rewards. This is the most difficult title to get points from past the first 2 or so. You should aim to get a unique (green - specifically the Black moa chick, search it on the wiki for info) and any rare (gold) mini.
Prices on other minis range from 2k to upwards of over 100k depending on the year and rarity. For the most part, you could probably get 20 minis while playing roughly 5k per on average, but this does require a considerable time investment looking around for sellers since this is the only true limited supply thing in the game. Also rare minis sell for around 70k, so hopefully you can find one cause they're pretty expensive even when people are selling them.
Fellowship - goal: 8 points This is the easiest place to get points, you should be getting a full 8 points from here. Hero armor is just grinding through PvE missions mostly in Nightfall, but also one mission in EotN. The missions are all easy except for the sandwurm one which I found to be really aggravating.
The second part of this section is pets, you need to get all 3 exotic pets. The black moa is the easiest cause anyone that has done the quest can help you so you don't have to do the quest to spawn the moa, this is a factions pet. The imperial phoenix, another factions pet. All you need to do to get this is complete factions and run to the end of the area after you defeat Shiro (Imperial Sanctum mission). The last exotic pet is from the Underworld, the Black Widow. We can get these relatively easily, you can search it on the wiki and potentially solo it yourself now if you want to.
And then you need to capture any regular pet and level it to 20. You don't need to make a ranger specifically to do this, just get ranger as a your second class capture a pet with that and drag it along with you as you do other stuff. It does not need to be alive to get experience, though it does need to be summoned (it appears in your party window).
Honor - goal: 9-10 points This area is the easiest and most difficult place to get points. It's easy to get your initial 9 or so points, after that it gets pretty impossible. You should try to get 10 title statues. The easy ones include: -Beating all campaigns (3 statues in total) -Getting master clears in all missions in NM (factions/nightfall - 2 statues) -Getting rank 4 for both Luxon and Kurzick (550k rep for rank 4, 2 statues) -Maxing Sunspear title (rank 10) -Beating Sorrow's Furnace (Prophecies). You need to do this anyways to get your Black Moa chick mini. -Beating Fissure of Woe -The Misfortune title (Unlucky title). Get some lockpicks and fail to retain them while opening chests. The lucky counter part is more difficult, or maybe that's just me? Both need rank 2 to get in the HoM.
-Less easy would to get master clears on all missions in HM for factions/nightfall. I've done this, it's easier for Nightfall than Factions purely because of the Eternal Grove mission. -Maxing EotN titles can be relatively quick, though it does require you to do EotN in HM, you can get a lot of rep by turning in completed books, but past rank 8 it's all HM to get rep points. -Max Lightbringer title. You need to get to rank 8 to max it. Though honestly, this one is really difficult, I think EotN titles are easier to max because there aren't many areas to vanquish that give you lots of kills worth Lightbringer points and vanquish rewards give Lightbringer title points. -Vanquish titles. I don't suggest this, but they're very doable, Factions has 33 areas and Nightfall has 34. I'd strongly suggest Factions over Nightfall, though. Sandwurm areas are particularly dumb to vanquish (The sulfurous wastes was a particular pain, where I almost had to redo the vanquish because of a specific area that needs to be opened with worm abilities). -Cartographer titles. I don't suggest these. Even after vanquishing both Factions and Nightfall I only have ~90% in both. Not sure where the last 10% comes from, but I think this would be more aggravating than not. -Skill hunter titles. You could...but its really expensive. 1 plat per skill + time. Though this is a really good way to get the survivor title because you get ~5k? xp per skill capture. (need 1,337,000 xp to max survivor title without dying). -Factions dungeons. I'm not sure I ever even want to try these dungeons to be completely honest. 12 player party size, would probably take a long time to clear. -Pvp titles. Way too much time needed to get them. Zaishen supporter doesn't require pvp'ing, but it involves getting 200 zaishen keys which translates to roughly 1200 plat/1200k. Or 200 gold zaishen coins, either way this is a lot of cash. But it does give 3 points (for pvp title) and count towards the 10 titles you should be aiming for.
Resilience - goal: 6 points This is just a lot of money and materials. Mostly money, you can salvage most the mats as you do other stuff. Vabbian armor takes roughly 200k - 250k to buy if you don't have rubies/sapphires. Obsidian armor is not happening. Luxon/Kurzick armor is very doable. It may take some time to get all the rep required to buy the mats yourself. (EDIT: jadeite isn't that cheap anymore, ~ 650g at the trader so about 550g per if you buy from people)
Valor - goal: 5+ points This title takes quite a bit of work. You can pretty easily get upwards of 7 points here if you wanted to. Getting one destroyer weapon should be ~50k. Each oppressor weapon is 250 war supplies (10 medals of honor) or you can buy them from people for roughly 50-60k. The best way is to farm War supplies and buy oppressor weapons.
The best way to get war supplies is to have 2+ characters that have done War in Kryta. The least effort way is to only 5 bounties, these include: -Justicar Marron -Justicar Amilyn -Destor the Truth Seeker -Greves the Overbearing -Carnak the Hungry
These are all along the same path, Greves the overbearing being first, and Justicar Marron being last. You start out at the Temple of Ages and run south into the connecting area where you follow a straight line to each of the above listed bounties. Each are worth at least 10 War supplies in HM. Generally you get 40 war supplies each time you do a run (if you have 3 of the 5 listed bounties).
Otherwise look for Zaln the Jaded and Justicar Kassandra. Worth 15/22 war supplies in HM and the time required to get to both is low. I don't recommend any bounty in the hidden river area because it takes hella days to get to the bounty mob. Riverside if up to you, I wouldn't do anything under 22 supplies in that area. Any bounty giving 4 war supplies in HM isn't worth it because you might as well do what I mention below.
Alternatively, if you do the Heart of the North missions (solo missions where you play Keiran Thackery) you can repeat the last mission (rise - nh) which takes roughly 10 minutes per run, but gives 1250 Vanguard rep, 1 plat, 5 war supplies and drops from killing stuff during the mission. This is actually one of the best ways to just farm money because it's more than a plat every 10 minutes. And only requires a 10 minute time investment before you hit a convenient stopping point.
*********** tldr; I'd recommend getting 2/8/9/6/5 points. (miniatures/hero-companion/titles/armor/weapons)

Winds of change dropped today. First impression = I die in HM. Afflicted are very angry, skills have been updated, soul explosion (when afflicted die they have built in death nova) now can do damage, remove enchants and also inflicts status conditions.
EDIT: Soul explosion now has various versions, (seemingly) randomly chosen when afflicted die. Effects are hella varried, some of the nastier ones include healing nearby afflicted and damaging players every 2 seconds (10 second duration), and raping enchants as mentioned above.
Is it a good sign when you wipe in normal mode?
