So I was on a website called freerice.com. Basically, it's a site that constantly generates words while testing you on its meaning, and for each word you get right, they donate 20 grains of rice to the UN. They generate funds from advertising banners each time the screen is reloaded for a new word. No pop-ups, fortunately, so it's worth checking out.
One of the words I encountered is Manus. Apparently, it's a real word. It doesn't mean Man Anus, (M-A-N-A-N-U-S!) but rather is a word to describe the distal segment of the forelimb of a vertebrate. In other words, it's the area of your arm from the wrist down to the fingers. Hooray education!

Because it was mentioned at Josh's party, I decided to check up online.
Kyle Kingsbury is 7-1-0 in MMA, with two TKO's in the first 30 seconds of the match. I'm somewhat surprised that he built up the drive to train professionally like he is, as my experience with him in football was that he was really talented, but hella lazy. Looks like it was just football, though. The guy hits brutally hard now. Watched the two TKO matches, and he just manhandles his opponents.
Daniel Puder I cared less about, just looked up his wrestling career. Because he won tough-E-Nough, or whatever that competition was called, he won the right to appear on the 2005 Royal Rumble. I didn't talk to him as much as I did Kyle, but what little I knew of him was present in his pay-per-view debut - cocky as hell. He's #3 on the entry list, and when he comes in he trash talks to Eddie Guerrero (#1) and Chris Benoit (#2) (R.I.P. to both of them), and claims he's gonna make history and be the first Tough-E-Nough winner to win the Royal Rumble. G fucking G, dude.
He gets the shit kicked out of him, and Hardcore Holly comes in and finishes him off.
Oh well. He's still hella talented, even if he has a big mouth.

I'm less surprised, maybe, because the idea of jumping into the ring and pounding the shit out of someone seems to be an activity that would motivate him to.. I dunno.. work?  Laziness is usually out of context, after all. |
