I see. Still, Movie didn't respond to DT's for a long time. Was that intentional, or was his attention just not there?

Not responding to dts is...never really intentional. It's more attributed to how Bisu played his cards, so to speak. Bisu didn't show his robotics facility, templar archives, or shuttle to Movie. Instead of panicing and using his DTs to defend his main base, he chose to send his shuttle and first 2 DTs to harass as Movie was attacking again. Movie's attention just wasn't there. He missed the initial DT drop, you could see how the game observer followed the observer leaving movie's base for a long time, even though his observer flew right over the shuttle dropping DTs. But he was definitely microing his shuttle/reaver and harassing Bisu's new building expo. Another problem is how progamers are trained to respond to worker harass. And that's to grab 12 probes, hit f2/f3/f4 and move them to your other nexus. But Bisu split his DTs, so he got a lot of free kills when the workers really just switched places. At the point where movie just moved his workers, he stopped paying attention to them and moved his troops to all-in Bisu. Which fails because he then realized that his probes were still dying, and stopped paying attention to his army, which then died to Bisu's new wave of units being built. Bisu's main strength is his multi-tasking - he can manage multiple encounters really well and make good decisions about how much he needs to defend and how much he can commit elsewhere. Movie is actually really lacking in multi-tasking, as a player he has been doing well because his style is very aggressive. Which, in the recent metagame is what has been working well for protoss. Most management style protoss players haven't been doing that well because everyone else has been learning how to exploit different timing attacks and other stuff. But in PvP, you have to be able to multi-task well, otherwise your overall army control really suffers. A lot of PvP is about positioning and dragoon concaves. Fighting up a ramp is...a really bad idea. You can have a massive advantage and end up losing by attacking up a ramp. So in that regard, Movie should have actually just went for a contain and played a longer game to extend his advantage. But he got greedy and tried to end the game. A good example of being way ahead and barely winning a fight up a ramp/hill is Best vs Movie on Roadrunner. Best basically harasses all game, gets a really big lead economically, but economic advantages take a long time to play out, particularly in PvP. So their first big battle is really close, and Best comes out with 3-4? units left. The next battle Best has probably a full control group or more of units, and he attacks uphill with a concave disadvantage and barely wins. It's a very empirical proof of how little harass gets you ahead in the short run, and how big of a role terrain and positioning play in the game. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDhLk8Gfs2s
